Zarah Kravitz

Zarah Kravitz is a certified Ayurvedic Practitioner, having received her degree from The Ayurveda Institute in New Mexico, where she studied under the divine guidance of Dr. Vasant Lad.

Prior to her Ayurvedic studies, she became a Certified Holistic Health Counselor at The Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where she focused on vegan cooking and lifestyle. She is also a Certified Hatha Dharma Yoga Teacher, trained by Sri Dharma Mittra, in New York City.

She has dedicated the past 14 years to working internationally with clients, individually and in group settings, leading cleanse programs, teaching yoga classes and workshops, hosting retreats, and facilitating Ayurvedic cooking classes and nutrition programs. She currently offers private Ayurvedic consultations and treatments to help clients find personalized, balanced, and achievable approaches to diet and lifestyle, pursuing ultimately the integrated health of the whole body, mind, and spirit.

Tawna Renee

 Tawna Renee’s love for earthworks began when she was just a child. Her youth was spent picking apples, peaches, oranges and grapes. Both her mother and father kept gardens. Her mother had grown up on a farm in Maryland. Tawna’s love for the earth and its splendors pushed her to become an environmental advocate. Her studies in college revolved around wilderness conservation and water issues in the Monterey Bay area. 

She first experienced hands-on land management during her second year of college, when she volunteered for an organization called Return of the Natives. She began to carry that wisdom into personal endeavors like small landscaping projects, garden maintenance, and seed banking. 

Upon her return to Orange County, Tawna Renee was able to transform her small grassy backyard into a bustling permaculture project. From native plants to edible annuals, compost bins to rainwater catchment systems, her backyard became an urban Eden. Though she no longer owns that property, her skill set and passion for wholistic land management has only grown. 

Cathryn Henning

Cathryn “Cat” Henning is a farmer focused on farming systems that regenerate the soil.  She worked in nonprofit farming for 9 years connecting folx to the land and empowering volunteers with the skills and information to participate in a healthy food system.  Now she co-owns BeeWorthy Farms, a farm growing cut flowers and medicinal herbs for people and pollinators!  Cat has embraced becoming a business owner and is enjoying learning when to follow and when to lead with her business partners.  It truly is a beautiful process when we learn to let go of control and allow things to unfold with grace and ease.

Cat lives in San Diego with her 2 cats and 10-year partner.  She enjoys spending time outdoors hiking or at the beach and loves to cook!  Silence, qi gong, and prioritizing the week ahead are her current favorite tools to balance her energy, mood and spirit.

Joleyne Lambert

Joleyne Lambert is a soil-loving, fig-foraging, forever student and steward of Earth. Her lifelong love of nature evoked a passion for protecting and healing our planet. She believes one of the most pivotal ways to care for Mother Earth is to tend her soil - and one of her favorite ways to do so is through composting! 

Joleyne’s love for gardening first sprouted in 2015 after learning about food deserts and the inequitable access to fresh food that many inner city populations struggle with. She was inspired to start growing her own food and dreamed of one day helping others do the same. As her interest in food and environmental justice expanded, she was introduced to Wild Willow Farm and regenerative farming (permaculture). It was obvious this was a way to heal people, ecosystems and Earth as a whole. 

Continuing on this path, Joleyne traveled to Central America to glean from the many permaculture communities. She spent most of her time at Finca Morpho working closely with the farm’s soil pillar, learning about their composting operations and soil-building systems. 

Joleyne received her Permaculture Design Certification in 2019 and soon began working at Coastal Roots Farm, where she was a farm educator for two years. There she was humbled to teach both children and adults all about regenerative farming, soil health, composting and fostering a spiritual connection with nature and Earth. 

Joleyne believes soil is like the gut microbiome of Earth. A healthy gut is pivotal for a healthy body. To heal Earth and heal ourselves, we must nourish our microbiome with food and love.

Dr. Nadia Ramo

Dr. Nadia Ramo is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, yoga teacher, and Reiki master-teacher. Her introduction into the plant world of medicine came through her studies in Chinese Medicine school. From there, Nadia wanted to dive deeper into local herbalism and began to study local plant medicine of Southern California. She has taken herb walks with Chumash elders, teaching her traditional Indigenous wisdom of local Southern California plants. Nadia continues to study and work with traditional Chinese Herbalism, and has navigated her understanding of Western Herbs through the perspective of Chinese Theory. Nadia enjoys making liniments, yoni steam blends, topical salves, and internal formulas for her patients and community. She practices out of Topanga, California.
